Mayor’s Update – Chatswood Chamber of Commerce Newsletter
October 2026
It was great to see so many local businesses come together at Council’s third annual
Support Local Showcase Night last month. A highlight was hearing from Chatswood
Chamber members Ganache Patisserie, North Shore Speech Therapy and Bistro Kai,
who shared their business journeys and practical insights with fellow business owners.
We also heard from Alison Lennard of Philosophy Australia, who spoke about how being
featured in Council’s Support Local campaign built her confidence, connections and
visibility, helping her grow her business. Alison used the idea of a ripple effect to show
how one opportunity can lead to another. It was a great reminder of what can happen
when we support one another and make time to connect.
We’re continuing that support this October as part of NSW Small Business Month.
Council and the Chatswood Chamber are partnering to deliver an
AI Masterclass to help
businesses learn how to use AI to create content, save time and attract new customers.
I encourage you to come along, learn something new and meet other local businesses
and industry experts.
Council is also offering another round of
Business Breakthrough: Your 5-Week Success
Plan, a practical program to help established businesses develop a clear growth
strategy and a 12-month roadmap. Past participants have built valuable local networks,
joined the Chatswood Chamber, taken part in Council programs and festivals, and
stepped into speaking and leadership opportunities within our business community.
I’m pleased to see so many people across our business network sharing their
experiences, supporting each other and building new relationships. I look forward to
continuing our work with the Chatswood Chamber to create more opportunities for
local businesses to learn, connect and grow.
